The new edition of “Ein Fall für zwei” started in 2014. In September, four new episodes of the popular crime series will be shown on ZDF.

“Ein Fall für zwei” is celebrating a milestone. In 2014, the new edition of the popular crime cult series first appeared on the screens. To mark the anniversary, the ZDF will broadcast four new episodes starting September 6th.

The main actors are back

Fans can look forward to seeing the usual main actors again. Antoine Monot, Jr. (49) plays the lawyer Benjamin Hornberg, Wanja Mues (50) is the private detective Leo Oswald and Bettina Zimmermann (49) once again takes on the role of public prosecutor Claudia Strauss. This time the team has to deal with the murdered sister of a rapper, a music student and a missing wife. Undercover investigations also put their friendship to the test.

The four anniversary episodes will be released in the ZDF media library on September 6. On linear television, the first episode, “Showbiz,” will also start on September 6 at 8:15 p.m., with “Entzweit,” “Die letzte Lieferung,” and “Spurlos verschwunden” airing on the following Fridays.

An end is not yet in sight

Even after ten years of “Ein Fall für zwei”, Antoine Monot, Jr. is not thinking about quitting. “It’s a lot of fun, and Wanja and I in particular have become good friends and work colleagues over the years. We have found a tone in the series that we are very happy with,” he explained in March in an interview with “Prisma”. Filming for the eleventh season of the series was already underway by mid-June.

In the new edition of “Ein Fall für zwei”, Monot and Mues are succeeding Claus Theo Gärtner (81) and Paul Frielinghaus (64), among others. Gärtner began in September 1981 as police sergeant Josef Matula, who eventually became a private detective. The lawyers at his side changed over the years, including Günter Strack (1929-1999) as Dr. Dieter Renz, Rainer Hunold (74) as Dr. Rainer Franck, Mathias Herrmann as Dr. Johannes Voss and most recently Paul Frielinghaus as Dr. Markus Lessing.
