It’s Wednesday afternoon. Actually, Hubert Aiwanger would have already opened a trade fair and broke ground. He would have had himself chauffeured to Nuremberg, to Augsburg, and later to Landshut. He would have given two ceremonial speeches and a third one on hydrogen in the evening. But now, everything canceled. No newspaper will write about the minister’s speeches, no one will print a photo of him with a spade in hand. Instead such headlines, once again: “Unvaccinated Hubert Aiwanger isolates himself.” Or: “Even free voters are now calling on Aiwanger to be vaccinated.”
