The new composition of the expert council of economic experts is apparently complete. As the Handelsblatt reports, Ulrike Malmendier is to join the five-member committee alongside Martin Werding, whom the employers had already proposed as a financial and social economist in May. The economist teaches at the US University of Berkeley and researches behavioral economics and money markets. She is considered an expert on the subject of inflation. Both economists have now agreed and should be appointed at the Federal Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the Handelsblatt announced.
