Ebersberger vocational school child care: start in autumn 2023 – Ebersberg

The new vocational school for childcare in the Ebersberg district is scheduled to start operations as early as autumn 2023. “It’s sporty, but I think it’s doable,” said District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) in a press conference. The project is sporty in that it is still unclear in which rooms the first years will be taught. Preliminary talks are currently underway, but according to the district administrator, nothing is ready for a decision yet.

As is well known, the school is to be attached to the new vocational school center in Grafing-Bahnhof in the medium term. When that happens, however, depends largely on the financial development of the district finances. Finally, with the grammar school in Poing, another new school is planned, and an expansion of the grammar school in Kirchseeon is also necessary. A fundamental decision as to which new school will be built first should be made by the district council this year before the summer break, if the district administrator has their way. By the time the budget is discussed in the fall, there will probably be a clearer picture of what the district’s income looks like.

The fact that a vocational school for child care should be located in Ebersberg has been discussed for a long time. At the beginning of December, the Bavarian state government confirmed that the project would definitely work: Minister of Finance and Homeland Albert Füracker (CSU) and Minister of Education Michael Piazolo (FW) informed about the approval in a press release.

Both ministers praised the step as a “commitment to local training opportunities in child care”. Especially in districts with population growth, the demand for these qualified training places can be increased. Due to the legal entitlement to early childhood support in a day care center or in day care for children from the age of one and the continuous expansion of childcare places, there is a high demand for specialists and supplementary workers, according to the two ministers.

The vocational school will offer around 100 apprenticeships. In addition, a specialist academy for social pedagogy is planned in the district, which will build on the technical basis of the vocational school.
