Dunja Hayali moderates the “ZDF morning magazine” in Berlin and will strengthen the “heute journal” moderation team in Mainz in the future.

New job for Dunja Hayali: In addition to the “ZDF-Morgenmagazin” she will also support the moderation team of “heute journal” in the future.

Dunja Hayali (48) celebrates her comeback on the ZDF “heute journal”. From February 2023 she will support the moderation team of the news magazine, which she led as co-moderator from 2007 to 2010. Hayali has her first issue on Monday, February 20, at 9:45 p.m. on ZDF.

According to the broadcaster Hayali will host the show around 40 times a year. As the main moderators, Mariette Slomka (53) and Christian Sievers (54) alternately lead through the “heute journal”. In addition, ZDF news boss Anne Gellinek (61) will also present the program for a few weeks. Dunja Hayali is looking forward to “returning to where everything started for me on ZDF,” she is quoted as saying in the message.

Hayali remains loyal to the “ZDF morning magazine”. For 15 years she has been leading the successful morning show, starting February 9 (from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.) again together with Mitri Sirin (51). On Saturday, February 4, fans can also look forward to “das aktuell sportstudio” (from 11 p.m.) with Dunja Hayali.
