Red Notice director Rawson Marshall Thurber directs Dungeons & Dragons series

The US filmmaker Rawson Marshall Thurber (47), known among other things for the Netflix hit “Red Notice”, will write the screenplay for the pilot episode of the upcoming show and also direct it. Nothing is currently known about the plot, cast or start date of the series project. Director Thurber has now confirmed the message himself on Twitter with the words “More than enthusiastic”..

Will the Dungeons & Dragons series be related to the upcoming movie?

It is not yet clear whether there will be any connections between the upcoming feature film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” and the streaming series that has now been ordered. However, this does not seem impossible, since the Hollywood studio Paramount is behind the film, whose parent company Paramount Global also owns the streaming service Paramount+. According to “Deadline”, the upcoming streaming series could be the prelude to a larger “Dungeons & Dragons” series universe with a whole series of shows.

Dungeons & Dragons is probably the most popular fantasy role-playing game of all time. Players choose characters such as elves, dwarves or humans, which are divided into different classes. “Dungeons & Dragons” has been part of mainstream pop culture for quite some time, and is also played by the characters in the Netflix series “Stranger Things”.
