Well, wasn’t something missing? For days there has been a dispute about a hearty saying by Dieter Bohlen on DSDS. In the broadcast on Wednesday evening, viewers waited in vain for the passage.

It just doesn’t work without him: For the anniversary season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, RTL brought back Dieter Bohlen, who had only been fired the year before. The made in star-Interview clear under what conditions his comeback has to take place: “I would never have come back if someone had told me what I can and can’t say.”

At the same time, the self-proclaimed pop titan presented himself as purified in the conversation. Admitted that many of his typical sayings were no longer valid today and said: “Actually, I love you all.”

New season DSDS: Dieter Bohlen is very old

In practice, however, the 68-year-old does not always seem to be able to implement this so easily. For days there has been a public dispute over statements by Bohlen, which some believe have gone too far. In the fourth episode of the current season, Bohlen commented on the TV career of reality TV actress Jill Lange, who had previously appeared on dome shows such as “Are You The One – Reality Stars in Love” and “Ex on the Beach”. When the 22-year-old talks about her dating formats on the show, Bohlen becomes uncomfortable: “Did you do anything normal? Or did you just graduate and let yourself be noodled?”

The saying caused a stir in advance, especially in the tabloid media. The saying is included in the fourth episode on the RTL+ streaming platform. RTL insisted to the “Bild” newspaper that it wanted to leave it on TV: “In the context of the discussion about Jill’s dating show experiences, we saw no reason to cut the dialogue from the program,” said the broadcaster in one Opinion. “Jill could have left the competition at any point if she felt unfairly treated – but she didn’t.”

But now RTL has backed down: the saying was missing on Wednesday evening, Bohlen only said there about Jill Lange’s dating career: “I don’t watch such junk.” Many TV viewers noticed the intervention, and it was discussed on Twitter.

The broadcaster has not yet commented on the reasons why RTL decided to cut Bohlen’s statement.
