Drugs, numerous sexual abuses… A former CIA agent gets 30 years in prison

In the United States, the courts have delivered their verdict in a case concerning chemical submissions. A former agent of the CIA, the main American intelligence agency, was sentenced on Wednesday to 30 years in prison for having drugged and then sexually abused numerous women, particularly during his assignments abroad.

It was during his last assignment abroad, in Mexico in May 2020, that the facts were discovered, when a naked woman called for help from a balcony in the capital.

The accused pleaded guilty

Brian Jeffrey Raymond, 48, pleaded guilty in November 2023 to drugging four women and then performing sexual acts on them without their consent, as well as nonconsensual sexual interference with six others.

He also admitted to drugging 28 women and then stripping them naked and filming or photographing them without their knowledge, the US Justice Department said, stressing that he tried to destroy the images after learning of the investigation against him.

Facts from 2006 to 2020

“While this predator worked for the government, he lured unsuspecting women into his government-rented home and drugged them,” said federal prosecutor Matthew Graves. “After drugging them, he would strip them naked, sexually abuse them and photograph them,” he added.

The events took place from 2006 to 2020 in several countries. Brian Jeffrey Raymond was stationed in Mexico and Peru, US authorities said.
