Drone crashes near Neuschwanstein – tourist injured – Bavaria

A tourist in Swabia was hit by a drone that another visitor had illegally flown over Neuschwanstein Castle. The 43-year-old drone pilot wanted to take photos from the air, police reported on Wednesday. He lost control of the aircraft on Tuesday, which crashed into a tree and fell on the other tourist. The man suffered a minor injury to his forearm, which was reportedly treated by a doctor.

The police reported the drone pilot to negligent bodily harm and an administrative offense under the Aviation Act. He also had to deposit a security deposit because he is not resident in Germany. A police spokesman pointed out that there is a special flight ban for the area around Neuschwanstein because it is a nature reserve.
