The tap will be able to flow again, after days of restriction. In a press release, the Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture announces that all restrictions on the consumption of drinking water in Vitrolles and Rognac, two municipalities at the gates of Marseille, have now been lifted, after satisfactory samples have been taken.
The water had been unfit for consumption since last week in Rognac and since Tuesday in Vitrolles, due to the presence of a bacterium. “The water distributed by the public distribution network can be used again for food and sanitary purposes, without restriction”, rejoices the prefecture.
