Petra Waloßek is standing in her studio, pouring water from a large watering can into a tub and throwing in several blocks of floral foam. She then carries the blocks to her worktable by the window and covers them with green moss and rust-colored smokebrush. The 51-year-old florist uses a knife to cut stalks of white gerberas at different heights and insert the blossoms into the structure. The result is a table arrangement for a vernissage that is reminiscent of a flower meadow.
