Is Donald Trump starting to tire of the political adventure? The Republican candidate for the White House has suggested that he is living his last campaign, at 78 years old. During an interview on the show Full Measure, he was asked if he would consider running again in 2028, in the event of a defeat next November against Kamala Harris. “No, I don’t see myself there, I don’t see myself there,” he replied.
“I don’t imagine that at all,” the former president added. “I think that will be it.” The billionaire, however, said he hoped for “success” at the polls on November 5, against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. However, he rejected yesterday the proposal to organize a new debate on October 23, on CNN.
Since the dramatic withdrawal of President Joe Biden, who was struggling in the polls, the outcome of the presidential election is more uncertain than ever. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are neck and neck in several of the states where everything will probably be decided.
Notably, Donald Trump, who never acknowledged his defeat to Joe Biden in 2020, has refused several times in recent months to commit to unconditionally recognizing the result of the November election.
