His seat, inside the court, remained empty on Wednesday October 4. After presenting himself in the courtroom of the Manhattan courthouse, Monday and Tuesday, Donald Trump did not attend the rest of his civil trial for fraud on the value of his real estate assets, which is taking place in New York.
The day before, the judge of the state supreme court had sharply reprimanded him: during the hearing, the magistrate had denounced a publication “degrading” posted by the former American president on his Truth Social network. Donald Trump described the court clerk as being the “fiancee of [Chuck] Schumer”, the leader of the Democrats in the Senate. After this call to order on Tuesday, the magistrate formally prohibited all parties involved in this trial from attacking his team in the future.
“The judge already knows what he is going to do. He is a judge [du Parti] Democrat”, Donald Trump said on Wednesday. The former US president is suspected, along with two of his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr, as well as other leaders of the Trump Organization, of having inflated their assets colossally to obtain more favorable loans from banks and better insurance conditions.
