Donald Trump’s legal troubles are piling up. On Thursday, the former US president announced on Truth Social that the Justice Department had told his attorneys that he had been indicted in the Classified Documents case. Accused of having illegally kept sensitive documents from his presidency after leaving the White House, Donald Trump says he was summoned to federal court in Miami next Tuesday, probably for the reading of the indictment.
His indictment has not yet been confirmed by the Justice Department, and it is unclear what charges have been brought against Donald Trump. During the search of his residence in Mar-a-Lago, the FBI had accused him of having violated the “Espionage Act”, a law prohibiting anyone from keeping classified documents, and even more in places not secured.
