In the meantime, the online version of the 38th edition has also ended, and 21,000 stream enthusiasts were added to the around 35,000 guests in the cinemas and venues. Last year there were a total of 47,000 viewers, the last pre-corona edition (not dual) reached 52,000 people in 2019.
Daniel Sponsel and Adele Kohout from the festival management were satisfied: “The offer to present these outstanding films both in the cinema and for an audience at home has proven its worth,” was their conclusion. Finally, the audience award, worth 2000 euros, was awarded: It went to the Greek coming-of-age drama “Kristos, The Last Child” by Giulia Amati.
