You are on video and suddenly your spouse arrives talking very loudly. You have taken over the office when your wife asks you to leave because she needs the space. You have a monster job and your other half refuses to pick up the children from school, because she too has too much work… Telecommuting is nice, but when there are two of you in the same apartment working, it creates sometimes tension.
According to a survey by the Observatory of telework conducted by ObSoCo with IDHEAL Research and Action Housing and published this Wednesday, 4 out of 10 teleworkers report difficulties when two people in the household work at home at the same time. Noise and lack of space are the most frequently mentioned annoyances. And the absence of a real break between work and home means that these tensions can persist into the evening.
