Harry and Meghan’s documentary trailer caused a stir. A photo of it is said to have been taken long before their time together.

The Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan” will be released on December 8th. Already the trailer had last week caused a lot of fuss. Now there are accusations of cheating on a picture that can be seen in the short clip. The photo is said to have nothing to do with the couple. This is reported by the British tabloid “The Sun”. The recording was used to apparently underscore how Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) are being followed by the press. However, according to the publication, it was actually recorded at a London “Harry Potter” premiere years before the couple met.

At one point, the trailer for the documentary shows a large number of photographers, apparently one of the “Sun”, waiting for a snapshot. According to the newspaper, in July 2011 their cameras were trained on the cast of the last Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. JK Rowling (57) and the stars of the film, Daniel Radcliffe (33), Emma Watson (32) and Rupert Grint (34) were on the red carpet at the time.

Harry and Meghan only met in 2016. In the Netflix trailer, the picture of the photographers is shown before Prince Harry says in a voice-over: “I had to protect my family.”

“This fake picture weakens his point of view”

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun about the picture with the photographers: “I can’t imagine Harry would have noticed but Netflix was lax here as it weakens Harry’s comment about protecting his family. This fake picture weakens his point of view.”

The trailer for “Harry & Meghan”, which is mostly in black and white, also shows many never-before-seen shots from the private life of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. Further short statements by the protagonists suggest that the British royal family must fear new revelations from the royal dropouts after the Oprah interview from March 2021. An off-screen voice asks the pair at the beginning of the trailer, “Why do you want to make this documentary?” to which Harry seems to reply later in the clip, “Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.” Meanwhile, his wife holds her hand in front of her face and may be crying.
