Now he has made the long journey to the other end of the world in vain. Unachieved, without a trophy in his luggage, Novak Djokovic has to fly home. That’s right, sealed and decided by Australia’s second highest court, even if Djokovic’s departure was hardly a question of law and rules in the end – it was about politics. Djokovic’s sacking is a political sign, which Australia’s government was keen to set. And probably also had to sit.
