This match on Philippe-Chatrier will be followed by the meeting between Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune, who will face each other in the evening session. In the women’s draw, the headliners Elyna Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka face respectively the Ukrainian Elina Svitolina and the American Emma Navarro.
If the weather has not been kind since the start of the fortnight, a ray of sporting sunshine has seen the light of day at the Porte d’Auteuil, named after Varvara Gracheva. The only Frenchwoman still in the running, number 88e world player will cross paths with the very young Mirra Andreeva, the Russian is only 17 years old, in third rotation on the Suzanne-Lenglen court.
