District of Munich – Vogelschützer advertises for wind power – District of Munich

Of

Bernhard Lohr, District of Munich

When the employees of the Ebersberg-Munich energy agency look south from their new office on the seventh floor of the Haar high-rise building, they see lots of greenery. You overlook the Hofoldinger and Höhenkirchner forests and also see four wind turbines to the south-west that turn on the Wadlhauser Gräben in the district of Starnberg. The view to the north is caught by the two wind turbines of Stadtwerke München on the garbage mountains in Fröttmaning. In the district of Munich, on the other hand, no rotors have been moving to date. But Maria Burghardt, who has her office at the Energy Agency as a wind power specialist, is confident that this will soon change. Because the mood has changed significantly when it comes to wind power. A lot happened in 2022. “The race for locations,” she says, “has begun.”
