The great fight against the invisible danger begins on the Sunday after Christmas with three small boxes. Markus Bauer receives one of them in Oberhaching, “proud and also a little tense,” as he remembers a good ten months later. “Tense to see whether it will work and whether we can do it,” says Bauer in the conference room of the Oberhaching vaccination center, which will be operated by the Johanniter for a few days.
