After a forced break of two years, the Three Kings are on the road again for the first time this year. They collect for children in Indonesia who have experienced violence – despite inflation and high energy costs, the organizers expect a high willingness to donate in the district.

This year is a premiere not only for many of the little carol singers, but also for Christina Beck: for the first time she organized the fundraising campaign in her parish of St. Michael in Schwabhausen. “I started from scratch,” says the woman from Schwabhausen on the phone: Because many of the children who ran in 2020 were now, two years later, too old to dress up and even the long-time organizer Gudrun Schloßbauer just did it decided to resign from her volunteer position. Beck, who herself enjoyed running with the carol singers as a child, decided without further ado to take on the task and distributed flyers at school and in the after-school care center in search of new Three Kings. 20 children have come together who want to dress up as Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. After a visit to Mayor Wolfgang Hörl (BBA) in Schwabhausen, they have been swarming since Sunday. Up to and including Friday, countless carol singers are also out and about in the other district communities and distribute their blessings: : “20 C+M+B 23”, Jesus Christ bless this house.
