20 towns in the Ansbach district were temporarily without electricity on Wednesday afternoon. An excavator driver had previously damaged a power line, as the energy supplier N-Ergie announced on Thursday. The damaged lines at Schillingsfürst had to be removed. This took several hours.
According to the police, the power lines threatened to fall on Autobahn 7. Therefore, officials blocked the lane in both directions for about four hours on Wednesday afternoon. From the early evening, all residents in the affected towns had electricity again
