Disneyland in Paris: 30th Anniversary – Travel

Admittedly, it’s the most powerful mouse in the world, but waiting in line for 70 minutes for a few seconds of audience? That seems excessive. So no selfie with Mickey Mouse. A Monday in March, 40 kilometers east of Paris, not far from the meandering course of the Marne, we find ourselves in what is reputedly the happiest place on earth: Disneyland. There shouldn’t be a lack of mouse content today, even without a photo. The visitors take care of that. A surprising number of them, men with bellies as well as grandmothers with sunglasses, wear a headband with the black round ears. Mickey balloons float above numerous prams. Mickey laughs at you, from sweaters, shoes, backpacks; Mickey is eaten, as a cake, as a waffle, as ice cream.
