Dismissed eighteen years after being declared unfit, an employee sues La Poste

Disappeared from radar, completely forgotten. This is the situation experienced for eighteen years by a former employee of La Poste in Laxou, in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Following numerous health concerns, she was declared unfit for her job in January 2003. Then nothing or almost nothing since she lived with a disability pension of 300 euros.

But seventeen years later, his employer again paid him wages for several months in a row, reports The Republican East. The reason ? La Poste had forgotten to fire her! “She fell into a bureaucratic loophole, and no one cared about her anymore,” summed up her lawyer, Me Olivier Bauer. With his client, they are claiming handsome sums: around 25,000 euros for salary arrears, 46,000 euros for not having offered mutual insurance or even 8,500 euros for the dismissal, effective since December 2021.

The case will go before the Nancy Court of Appeal in early October.
