Exciting news for Pokémon fans! The latest expansion of the Pokémon Pocket TCG booster has officially launched! Players worldwide can now explore two brand-new boosters: Space-Time Shock featuring Dialga and Palkia. These boosters draw inspiration from the beloved fourth generation of the franchise, which remains a fan favorite. Enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation to uncover new cards and utilize the trading system that fosters community engagement in collecting. However, some players have observed that the initial booster set, Genetic Power, appears to be missing… Fear not, as we will guide you on how to locate it in just a moment!
Where Did the Pokémon Pocket TCG Boosters Go?
Shortly after the launch of the Space-Time Shock set, players of The Pokémon Company’s mobile application took to social media to express their concerns: the Genetic Power set, featuring iconic cards like Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Charizard, seems to have vanished! Previously, users could easily access the first two sets, but now, with the introduction of the latest, the initial set has seemingly disappeared from the home screen! Currently, only the Space-Time Shock boosters featuring Dialga and Palkia, along with the Fabulous Island of Mew, are readily accessible with just a click. Some players felt a wave of anxiety at the thought that the older boosters and their accumulated pack points had been lost. Rest assured, the Genetic Power boosters are still very much available!
Steps to Access the Genetic Power Boosters
Finding the old boosters is a breeze, and we’ll break it down for you! Start by selecting one of the three available boosters from the main menu, no matter which one you choose. Once the booster is enlarged, look for an icon at the bottom right labeled ‘Choose other boosters’. Clicking on this icon will take you to a comprehensive overview of all the available boosters. Your earned pack points from opening boosters remain intact, so there’s no need to worry about them disappearing!
But this raises an important question…
Will They Ever Disappear?
Currently, it is uncertain when, or if, the initial boosters will be removed from the game. It’s possible that after a few weeks, players may find it impossible to open the Genetic Power boosters, depending on their collection status. As of now, the development team hasn’t officially announced any plans for the boosters’ removal, but a schedule sourced from ptcgpocket.gg indicates that this could occur on April 30, 2025. Take this information with caution, however!
