Director’s visit to the Theatiner cinema in Munich: “Valeria is getting married” – Munich

In a year she will receive Israeli citizenship and then have the same rights as all citizens. Says the fiance of Valeria, who just came to Tel Aviv from Ukraine. And until then she’ll have to do whatever he wants, an acquaintance asks. In “Valeria is getting married”, the Israeli screenwriter and director Michal Vinik tells of arranged marriages, patriarchal structures and an intimate sisterly relationship. This compact chamber play premiered last year at the Venice Film Festival, after which it was invited to many other festivals. It will be released in German cinemas on May 25th. Before that, Michal Vinik is coming to Munich Theatine cinema she personally introduces her film to the audience. After the screening there will be a film talk.
