Amir Reza Koohestani is one of Iran’s most prominent theater directors. He has also been working very successfully on German stages for many years, for example at the Munich Kammerspiele and the Deutsches Theater Berlin, where in 2020 he presented “Woyzeck Interrupted” after Georg Büchner, an examination of the subject of femicide. At the Thalia Theater in Hamburg he has now staged an adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s dystopian novel “Brave New World” as part of the “Lessingtage”.
