Digitization of administration must be faster – economy

Exaggerated data protection, insufficient data collection and, above all, a lack of will: what has to happen for Germany to become more digital.

A marathon is 42.195 kilometers long. You don’t just run them like that as an untrained person, otherwise it becomes dangerous. It’s actually quite clear: there’s no marathon without training. In this respect, it is not surprising that the state has not even come close to completing its marathon, the digitization of almost 600 administrative services – another sign of poverty and not the first when it comes to digitization in Germany. Far too little has been done about it.
