The spectrum of a cluster is becoming clearer. A second Spanish player, defender Diego Llorente, tested positive for Covid-19, two days after selection captain Sergio Busquets, the Spanish Federation (RFEF) announced on Tuesday evening.

“The RFEF regrets to announce that the central defender Diego Llorente is positive at the end of the last PCR tests carried out this morning at the training center of the national selection in Las Rozas”, near Madrid, specifies the Federation in a press release . On Monday, Llorente and his teammates had tested negative. All eyes will be on the new PCR tests that must be performed daily.

Busquets and Llorente, placed in isolation for 10 days, will not be able to play the first match of the Euro next Monday in Seville against Sweden, which also announced two positive cases of Covid-19 among its players on Tuesday. They could in theory return on June 19 against Poland or on June 23 against Slovakia, unless Luis Enrique decides to replace them definitively by Saturday.
