It is not really “breaking news” when ZDF announces that Maike Kühl will now “reinforce the previous team of Claus von Wagner and Max Uthoff”. Kühl has been there many times since 2019, five times in the last eight editions alone (that’s how often the show is broadcast per year). Of course, she will now have a more prominent role, because she is replacing Claus von Wagner, who is taking a break to finally write a solo program for the stage again. And she will remain firmly on board afterwards. So Kühl is a familiar face joining the team. And at the same time an absolute cabaret professional.
