There is increasing evidence that more people may have been vaccinated against Corona than officially reported. After the RKI had already published such a report, a survey now supports the thesis.
According to information from “Spiegel”, a new survey on corona vaccinations in Germany also shows clear differences to the official figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). In a representative survey by Infratest dimap in cooperation with the German Institute for Economic Research, around 75 percent of 18- to 59-year-olds said by July 13th that they had received their first injection.
This value was 16 percentage points higher than in the official RKI statistics. The RKI gave the first vaccination rate for the age group at 59 percent. The RKI reported on Wednesday that there was a difference between the official registration numbers and survey data in the vaccination rate for under 60-year-olds. The institute published a survey in which as many as 79 percent of 18 to 59 year olds said they had been vaccinated for the first time. This would be 20 percentage points more than the vaccination rate monitoring at the same time.
Five million more people vaccinated?
The differences indicate that the actual vaccination rate is significantly higher than the statistics show, said DIW researcher Mathias Huebener the “Spiegel”. He assumes at least a 70 percent first vaccination rate for 18 to 59 year olds by July 13th. According to this, around five million more people would have been first immunized than the RKI statistics show.
Overall, according to the Infratest survey, which is ongoing, on July 28th, 80 percent of all adult respondents said they had been vaccinated for the first time. This corresponds to a rate of 67 percent of the total population. According to RKI statistics, at this point in time 61 percent of the population had received the first injection. Here, too, according to “Spiegel”, it is about five million vaccinations more or less.
