Deutschlandticket: Inexpensive with regional trains to the sea

Some stations even have the “beach” in their name. But also from many other stations in Germany it is only a few meters to the North or Baltic Sea. This and the Deutschlandticket open up completely new possibilities for many people: Why not go to the beach cheaply and comfortably on a day off or for a weekend?

With the Deutschlandticket to the beaches of the North and Baltic Seas

Since May 1, 2023, unlimited regional and local transport can be used nationwide for 49 euros per person per month. Important: ICEs, intercity trains and long-distance buses remain taboo, but considerable distances can also be covered with regional trains – and holders of the flat-rate ticket can now take a spontaneous trip to the sea almost free of charge.

Whether eating fish sandwiches or lying on a beach chair, whether North or Baltic Sea, whether Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein or Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Many German beaches have direct train connections. You can see which these are in the photo gallery above to click through – and also how you can get there with regional trains.
