Dehoga – Hoteliers are more optimistic again – Economy

Hoteliers and restaurant owners are more optimistic than they have been since the beginning of the Corona crisis. Sales losses in the industry are declining and business expectations are increasing, according to a survey by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga). Revenues in the hospitality industry in February were still 3.1 percent below the pre-crisis level of 2019. However, the approximately 1,900 hoteliers and restaurateurs surveyed were increasingly positive about the next three months. Almost 33 percent expect their business situation to improve, and just over 20 percent have negative business expectations. “More and more companies in the hospitality industry are optimistic after years of dry spells,” said Dehoga President Guido Zöllick.
