DeFi platform Platypus hit by flash loan attack, loses about $8.5 million

CertiK reported on Feb. 16 that A flash loan attack was discovered on the Platypus DeFi platform on Avalanche, blockchain security firm CertiK posted in a tweet along with the attacker’s wallet address.

Nearly $8.5 million has been moved. As a result, the price of Platypus USD Stablecoin isreduce 52.2% to $0.478 at time of writing.

The flash loan attack was the same tactic used by Avi Eisenberg to manipulate Mango Markets’ MNGO in October last year, which Eisenberg said shortly thereafter that “All of his actions were not his fault. because it uses the protocol as designed.”
