DEATH – The fashion world is in mourning. The famous British designer Vivienne Westwood died on Thursday December 29 in London. In a statement on Twitter, her fashion house said she had passed away “peacefully and surrounded” of his family in Clapham, in the south of the British capital.
“The world needs people like Vivienne to change for the better,” house Vivienne Westwood wrote on Twitter. Her husband and creative partner Andreas Kronthaler, quoted by the BBC, said: “I will continue with Vivienne in my heart. “We worked until the end and she gave me a lot”

Associated with the English punk period through her non-conformist and eccentric creations, Vivienne Westwood is nicknamed “the terrible child of fashion”. An image that she will have kept all her life.
Vivienne Westwood came to prominence on the fashion scene in the 1970s, with his androgynous designs, slogan t-shirts and irreverent attitude towards the fashion establishment. She was known as a dedicated activist and brought to the fore causes close to her heart, such as climate change.
The designer was named Dame for services to fashion in 2006.
