Pierre Christin died this Wednesday, at the age of 86. Two years after Jean-Claude Mézières, the discreet cowboy with whom he helped shape modern science fiction in the immense saga Valerian and Laureline. Two boys from Saint-Mandé who found themselves thousands of kilometers from home, in Utah. Unsure which artistic path to choose, Christin continued her studies at Sciences-Po and the Sorbonne.
