Grief is like music. Sometimes she plays quietly in the background and you hardly notice her. And then suddenly it gets so loud it hurts. Then she wants out. I wrote a lot to process the pain of Carsten’s death. Have made my grief public in posts on Facebook, Instagram and my blog and still do. It’s very healing because I understood that grief is a good thing – and that pain changes.
