Death of Justine Vayrac: drugs, rape … these gray areas that remain to be clarified on the night of the murder

This Thursday, October 27, Lucas L. confessed to having killed and buried Justine Vayrac. He was indicted and placed in detention for “rape, kidnapping and murder”. However, gray areas persist in this case.

Five days after the death of Justine Vayrac, mysteries still remain on the course of the night of the drama. First, the state in which the young woman was when she met Lucas L., near the La Charette nightclub in Brives, raises questions.

Was Justine drugged?

According to the testimony given by his friend Théo, the last person to have seen the victim alive with the suspect, in the columns of the FigaroJustine reportedly felt ill around 4 a.m.

“I think my champagne tastes weird,” she allegedly told Theo during the evening. A little later, “when Justine was vomiting, she repeated : ‘I’m sure someone put something in my drink’“.

As specified RTLtoxicological analyzes were carried out and should determine whether the young woman was drugged without her knowledge.

Rape or consensual report?

Another point to clarify, the nature of the sexual relationship between Lucas L. and Justine Vayrac which would have preceded the murder. During a press conference organized this Thursday, October 27, Baptiste Porcher, public prosecutor of Limoges, indicated that Lucas L. recognized “consensual sex” during his custody.

The indictment of the young man, however, includes the mention of “rape”. The investigation should therefore confirm this point.

How was she killed?

Here too, gray areas remain. According to the confessions of the suspect in police custody, it is “a punch that would have caused death”explained the prosecutor. He would then have taken the body to the forest and would have gone to look for an agricultural machine to bury it.

Statements which are in contradiction with the first observations made by the investigators on the body of Justine. The latter were able to establish that she was the victim of several “strokes at the level of the face, of which aat least one with a contending weapon”.

No explanation has also been provided by the suspect on the circumstances that motivated his passage to the act.
