Dazzled by the sun, a hunter shoots a mother and her two children

Repeated hunting accidents. Sunday, when a 62-year-old man was seriously hit by a bullet in Drôme, a family came close to tragedy, this time in Beaujolais. A mother and her two children aged 7 and 10 were hit in the legs by pellets during a walk in the middle of the vineyards of Pommiers (Rhône).

Dazzled by the sun, a hunter mistook them for small game, reports Progress. The three victims were transported to Villefranche-sur-Saône hospital for treatment, but their lives are not in danger.

As for the hunter, he was released at the end of his police custody. His rifle was seized, while an investigation for violence with a weapon was opened.
