Daycare centers in Munich: 3,500 affordable childcare places have been lost – Munich

The new daycare funding came into force in Munich at the beginning of September and a month later it is clear what that means: Significantly fewer daycare centers are participating in the city’s funding model than before. Around 3,500 childcare places in 88 daycare centers have become significantly more expensive since September, some by up to 1,000 euros per month.
