Davos – Zug 3:2
HC Davos secured their second victory of the season against Zug, marking their fifth consecutive win. Unlike their previous 6:2 rout in September, this game was tightly contested. Simon Ryfors found himself in the penalty box for holding and witnessed two goals from there. The HCD took the lead after a mistake in Zug’s defense, with Matej Stransky scoring a shorthanded goal in the 7th minute. However, Daniel Vozenilek swiftly responded with a power-play goal just 92 seconds later. After Ryfors’ goal gave Davos a 2:1 lead, Grégory Hofmann of EV Zug equalized in the 33rd minute. Finally, in the 54th minute, Michael Fora scored the decisive goal from a distance, resulting in a 3:2 finish. This victory places the third-placed Davos team six points ahead of EV Zug, who has now slipped to sixth place.
ZSC Lions – Freiburg 2:1 (SO)
Leader ZSC faced their only previous defeat after 60 minutes this season against Gottéron, and the second matchup also began unfavorably for the reigning champions. In the 14th minute, Raphael Diaz scored against Simon Hrubec. The Zürchers finally struck back in the 30th minute when Vinzenz Rohrer netted a shorthanded goal to level the score. The remainder of the game saw no additional goals. After a scoreless overtime, Rohrer became the sole scorer in the shootout, securing an extra point for his team and maintaining their perfect home record with ten wins in ten home games this season, resulting in 25 consecutive home victories.
Kloten – Lugano 5:2
Kloten made a decisive impact in the second period, scoring five goals within just over 15 minutes. This impressive performance featured contributions from five different scorers across all four lines, and Miro Aaltonen marked his tenth goal of the season. Ambri – Bern 2:3 (OT)
SC Bern also triumphed in their second matchup with Ambri, following a convincing 4:0 victory five weeks prior. The Bernese team added an overtime win to their record, with Waltteri Merelä netting the game-winner through Janne Juvonen’s pads at 61:23.
