David Alaba a “theft of the century”: Spanish press teases FC Bayern Munich
David Alaba found his way around Real Madrid quickly and convinced him. The Spanish press therefore sent a swipe at Bayern.
David Alaba has been celebrated by the Spanish press for his performance in Real Madrid’s Champions League win against Sheriff Tiraspol.
“He continues to grow into the team. Both on the defensive and in the hierarchy,” wrote the Spanish Marca and took a swipe at Bayern Munich: “Madrid signed him without paying Bayern a transfer … the theft of the century.”
Alaba left Bayern after 13 years at the club in the summer and moved to Real Madrid on a free transfer. In 17 competitive games he has already been directly involved in five goals (two goals, three assists).
