Danish anthem whistled, laser pointed at Schmeichel… UEFA investigates after incidents in England-Denmark

Fair play is an English term that not all of the Queen’s subjects adhere to to the letter. Latest example: Wednesday evening, during the second semi-final of the Euro at Wembley, between England and Denmark (2-1 after). UEFA announced this Thursday
initiation of disciplinary proceedings for different not very glorious facts.

In a London enclosure almost completely acquired to the selection of Gareth Southgate, some supporters of the Three Lions have exceeded the limits. Whistles sounded during the Danish anthem.

Then, during the highly questionable penalty awarded to Harry Kane’s teammates, green lasers were pointed at Kasper Schmeichel’s face. The Danish goalkeeper rejected the attempt of the English captain who however scored in two stages, and sent his selection to the final against Italy on Sunday.

Finally, UEFA has also noted the use of smoke. Its control, ethics and discipline body is in charge of the file.
