If he accepts the four months in prison for having slapped Emmanuel Macron on June 8 in the Drôme, Damien T. refuses the additional penalties imposed on him. He therefore decided to appeal the latter, we learned Monday from the Grenoble Court of Appeal.

The 28-year-old man, imprisoned since his trial on June 10, disputes some of the sentences imposed on him by the criminal court of Valencia, according to the same source, confirming information from the radio France Blue Drôme Ardèche.

Work or training obligation

In addition to the sentence of 18 months in prison, including 14 months suspended, accompanied by a committal warrant, the court had pronounced against him a definitive ban from exercising in the public service, the ban on holding a weapon for five years and deprivation of civic, civil and family rights for three years. Damien T. had also been subject to a work or training obligation.

The prosecution, which had asked for 18 months in prison at the hearing, lodged an incidental appeal, that is to say in reaction to the appeal of the condemned, specified the court of appeal, adding that the the date of this new hearing had not been set.
