Cyril Hanouna is always ready to surprise and imagine unusual projects, especially with the approach of the 2022 election.

While a comic entitled President, directed by the isérois designer Morgan Navarro, puts the host of C8 on stage as the only bulwark against Marine Le Pen during the 2022 presidential election, Cyril Hanouna told the Parisian at a
interview this weekend he did not count “a second” to settle at the Elysee.

“We really almost did it”

Yet the host returned to a crazy project – since abandoned – he wanted to put in place “to make a big joke” during the elections. The idea: a documentary intended for the cinema where Cyril Hanouna would have made believe in his candidacy for the presidential election. “We had imagined a tour of France of markets and mayors to obtain the five hundred signatures. We wanted to push the project to the limit. Just for fun ”he confided.

Even if he was ready to give himself the means for the initiative to see the light of day, Cyril Hanouna had to give up the project quite quickly, faced with the complex constraints of an electoral campaign: “We really failed to do it. But by the time we unveil the deception, we would have had our mouths full. I said to myself : guys are going to hit me. And then there would have been a problem with my presence on the air, ”we can read in the interview.

A political show on C8?

If Cyril Hanouna does not intend to succeed Emmanuel Macron for the moment, he nevertheless mentioned a project of political emission where we would find him as host: “We are working on a new format that I will present live on C8 d ‘ here in November. There will be eight or ten prime times, with a presidential candidate each time. And maybe a special with all of them. It will be a bit like “May the best win” in politics. Around me, there will be editorial writers from all the channels of the Canal group. »To be continued.
