Cyberpunk 2077 update spotted on SteamDB

Around Cyberpunk 2077 has been relatively quiet for the past few months, essentially since it received its last major patch: 1.3. Some rumors have surfaced about the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077, as well as Patch 1.5, but CD Projekt Red has denied at least some of them. Fans know these are on the way sometime earlier this year, but beyond that, Cyberpunk 2077’s immediate and long-term future is largely unclear.

Now was in the Steamdatabase found a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, which would appear to indicate that CDPR is testing new content or a new update for the game. Testing or at least preparing this content is the most likely scenario as this update is not currently publicly available.

A screenshot of the SteamDB for CP2077 builds was added to Reddit posted (and by TheGamer reported) and shows that the last update was on October 28th. This latest update was released on January 14th, so a few days ago. However, these two builds are not public and therefore their content, fixes, etc. remain unknown.

What kind of Cyberpunk 2077 update it is remains unknown for the time being

In theory, it could be new game content, features, bug fixes, and other support developed for Cyberpunk 2077 1.5 patch. At the same time, it could be something small that could go live in the coming days or weeks before the next big patch. Of course, only CDPR knows this and is unlikely to comment on this latest update any time soon.

Despite the relative quiet, the end of 2021 was good for Cyberpunk 2077. Many players left positive reviews online after purchasing the game at a discount, and CDPR believes the title will be remembered as a great game after all. Similar to the update content above, this remains to be seen, but CDPR is aware that it must deliver the promised content and more in the coming year.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PS4, Stadia and Xbox One.
