Curious new product: smartphone giant now also sells water pistols

A world-leading smartphone manufacturer is expanding into a new market segment. The company has also recently started selling water guns.

Xiaomi launches a lifestyle toy for the first time. That reports “gizmochina”. The “Mijia Pulse Watergun” is currently being funded through a crowdfunding campaign and has been available for pre-order since April 17 – but only in China.

The Pulse water gun has three modes and is equipped with dynamic light effects that can flash in sync with the water shots. Xiaomi’s Pulse has a 1,800 mAh lithium battery. It can be charged via a USB Type-C port.

The Mijia Pulse can be charged with water in just 10-15 seconds. She has three settings: water in serial shots, single shots and so-called “loaded shooting”. The water pistol has a maximum power of 25 depth charges at once and a range of seven to nine meters.

A high-resolution tactical display shows the device’s launch mode and activity in real time. In addition to the usual fun, the manufacturer recommends using the device like a high-pressure cleaner.

Xiaomi brings lifestyle water gun to the Chinese market

The crowdfunding program started on April 19th and will run until April 26th. During the introductory period, the toy will retail for 649 yuan (about 86 euros). At the end of the crowdfunding campaign, the water blaster will cost 799 yuan (about 106 euros).
