Tens of thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt football fans got in the mood for the DFB Cup final in Berlin in the midday and afternoon hours.

Tens of thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt football fans got in the mood for the DFB Cup final in Berlin in the midday and afternoon hours.

Around 20,000 people attended the official Hessian fan party at Breitscheidplatz, almost all dressed in black or white. Eintracht presented former cup heroes and musical acts on a large stage.

A total of 50 to 60,000 Frankfurt fans were expected in the capital. The fans were also present on buses, trains and ships. In the evening (8 p.m. / ZDF and Sky) Frankfurt will face defending champions RB Leipzig in the Olympic Stadium.

Hundreds of fans are chasing tickets

Hundreds of supporters stood right in front of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and thus behind the stage to get tickets for the cup final at the last minute. The club kept selling tickets, board spokesman Axel Hellmann explicitly drew attention to this on social media. There are “some final tickets available at short notice at regular prices. For cash,” Hellmann wrote on Twitter. The stadium will be sold out tonight with 74,322 spectators.
