After the game is before the game. And so you can MetallicaFestival, the AC/DC-Biathlon and the European Championships that are now starting on 27 and 28 July, you can also see Taylor Swift, the pop Olympus leader, in Munich at the Olympic Stadium. Oh, and in August there will be three Coldplay performances and ten Adele performances. And as for the ticket prices for Adele: Well, they are now spiralling up into the Olympus. You wonder whether there is still room for other musical things. But lo and behold: almost all Tollwood concerts are now sold out, despite the European Championships being played at the same time. And the concert by Iron MaidenThere are no more tickets available for singer Bruce Dickinson on June 25th at Circus Krone.
At least football isn’t everything. And how could it be without Beckenbauer, the football emperor? Instead, you get a singing emperor at Königsplatz. Pop singer Roland Kaiser will also be performing there twice on 28 and 29 June. And while we’re on the subject of the great oldies: model railway enthusiast Rod Stewart will be coming to the Olympiahalle on 28 June under the motto “One Last Time”. And Nick Carter, who was once big as the Backstreet Boy, will be singing alone in the Theaterfabrik on 23 July. A great future was also predicted for the former Munich “blues prodigy” Jesper Munk. A good ten years ago, the young singer actually ended up with a major label, and after moving to Berlin, he also got into post-punk and noise. Then he somehow stumbled.
Now Munk has a new manager in Munich and has come to terms with his early blues and soul phase. And lo and behold: his concerts at the Milla on July 11 and 12 are sold out. This also applies to the concert of the New York band Hazmat Modinewhich celebrates its 25th birthday on June 18th at Ampere. And with its mixture of swamp blues, jazz and soul, it shows how to stay true to yourself and be successful, even if it doesn’t make it to the top. Nathaniel Rateliff has also had some notable successes in his 22-year career. With his band The Night Sweats The American creates a very smooth mixture of soul, R’n’B and folk rock. On July 8th Rateliff will play at Backstage and present his new album “South of Here”, which will be released on June 28th.

The most magical shows in June: World premiere of the Ehrlich Brothers in the Olympiahalle, Las Vegas Magic Girls at the revival of Circus Busch-Roland and magical images from space at the “Space Night” in Circus Krone.
In 1987, Ljubljana with “Opus Dei” a classic of industrial and thus the blueprint for epigones like Rammstein created. As famous as Rammstein was the Slovenian band never did. Instead, they do their thing musically and politically without compromise, instead of driving the cart into the wall morally. On the current tour, they are now going back to “Opus Dei” because the album has been remastered. On July 3rd, Ljubljana and then into the Muffathalle.
The experimental and noise rock band from San Francisco has been similarly uncompromising for 35 years. OxbowThe Americans will be performing in Munich on June 18th in the small Orangehouse. It actually seems much too small for the powerful, fearless, sometimes terrifying, much-praised sound of Oxbow. But playing in the top league musically doesn’t always mean that you’ll be commercially successful.
